Listen up kids, because you’re about to get a history lesson. The medical tags and diabetic bracelets that we see today are actually inspired by military identification jewelry, or as they’re most commonly known, “dog-tags.” These tags were first used by the British Army during World War I, and the U.S. started issuing them to American troops in 1906.
