My mother in law is a fantastic piano player and plays for our church services every Sunday. She prefers to practice on the church piano over the one she has at home and got into a pickle one day. Apparently, she heard birds cheeping in the rafters and tried to investigate herself. I don’t know what she was thinking but she pulled up a chair and tried to climb up into the attic. In the process she fell and injured herself. Luckily, a nearby neighbor heard the commotion and was able to get help. She’d had heart surgery a few years before and kept
medical alert bracelets. I was so worried that she’d forgotten to wear them and was relieved to find they were right where they should be. The medical technicians knew exactly what to do to treat and stabilize her safely even with the many medications she takes for her heart. I was so glad that she made it through safely and I’m sure she won’t try climbing the rafters again.
